OMG, IT'S MEEEE!! But I didn't decide that though, haha a panel of professionals did!
I received an email today:
I opened this email and was SO shocked!!
Usually, to get an award for photography you have to nominate yourself and then ask people for votes.
That's just not something I've ever been interested in. I feel it then becomes a contest about how many family members and friends you can get to vote for you not actually for photography.
BUT THIS award is nothing like that!! Someone does have to nominate you (at the time of writing this I have nooooo idea who put my name in the hat). But then professionals make the decision!
When I clicked on the link in. the email this is what I saw:

I actually was recognized as one of Vancouver's Top Ten Photographers a few months ago. Again, professionals make that decision. I have had that 'badge' on my homepage ever since and now that badge has a friend!!

Photography is an EXTREMELY competitive business let me tell you. And there are SO many amazing photographers out there.
I love and focus mainly on Family photography including Newborn, Maternity, Cake smashes and I also take Headshots and Boudoir photos in my photo studio or on location here in beautiful Vancouver BC.
So to receive these accolades makes me feel like all of the hard work, sacrifices, and perseverance I have put into my business since 2009 has paid off.
I'll be honest, it hasn't been easy but nothing worth fighting for is. I'm so damn proud of myself and this has given me the reassurance that what I have been doing is the right thing. Man, that feels good!
